Radical attention to the inner life is the uninterrupted observation of oneself in every circumstance — a meditation in which the ordinary “I” dissolves and only the One God remains.

Unlike a goal, intention wells up from within, carries a common good, and is a source of calm — neither limiting nor ambitious.
