How Can I Help?

چه کمکی میتوانم بکنم؟

There are two kinds of help.

The first is material help — money, food, shelter. These are necessary and valuable in their place. But if we limit ourselves to this kind alone, we are far from the truth.

The other kind is spiritual help. It cannot be measured in money. Sometimes it is simply presence — sitting with someone, without judgment, without advice, without correction. Just being.

The greatest help is unconditional presence. When someone is in pain, more than anything else they need someone to be beside them — someone who, with their whole being, simply listens; someone who does not judge; someone who does not try to fix the problem immediately.

That presence is itself a healing.

The ego always wants to give “big” help. It wants to be seen, to be admired. But real help is help that is nameless. Help that only God sees.

If you can simply be with someone, asking nothing in return, you have given the greatest help.
